I live on Lantau Island, Hong Kong where the roads are two-lane two-way, narrow, curvy, with steep hilly grades at 1:6 to 1:10 ratio with freqent slow-moving vehicle turn-outs. The transmission and engine get a vigorous workout just going to the store. It handles beautifully under all conditions.

My wife has a 2004 X-Type Estate Wagon with about 48,000 original KM (30,000 MI). Engine is 2.0L V6 (156 HP) with auto transmission, FWD, no AWD. Car has been meticulously maintained by the original owner with all service and repair documents provided at the sale.

"The Hill" is over 5 KM bottom to top to bottom again. My wife uses the transmission in sport mode and shifts to 2nd gear as a speed brake going down the steep 2.5 KM down grade.
