I have been getting this pop-up Cookie on and off for the last 6 months, it's impossible to ignore it or delete it or manage settings to get rid of it or opt-out (as it says you can). You cannot send a picture or log out of the Forum without Accepting. If you go through their process to "request" an opt-out, nothing is done nor do you hear from them again.
This is the only website that where I have encountered this pop-up and I'm wondering if it's something that has been incorporated in this site by "management". I have found that this Cookie is developed by a data gathering business on a for-hire basis. It appears every time I access the Forum, even before I log in. I have used my Adblocker to do an "ad delete", but the Cookie learns this and will disable the use of the Forum now.
Has anyone else had this experience? If any of the Moderators have any information, I would like to hear it.
Thanks
Well, it's been about a week since I started this thread and there has been no posts in response other than Norri's. On the other hand, the aggressive pop-up has stopped appearing.........hmmmmm. If thanks are in order, consider them offered.
Seems I was premature in offering thanks to IT or Management concerning this hostage-taking pop-up. When I unblock the ads on this Forum the pop-up is back and if I don't accept it, I cannot attach pictures or sign out. I also cannot "manage" or "object" it away as it suggests. Surely someone has solicited or approved the use of this data-mining pop-up. I am not willingly giving my approval to this offensive pop-up.
I just discovered the pop-up is still there when I tried to attach a couple of pictures and links in post to a Forum member who was asking for help. Employing this kind of forced data-mining will greatly reduce my use of this website.
