Forum speed!
The time it takes to load up Jaguarforums.com has really slowed down. I used to frequent the forum almost daily, but it has gotten so slow for me that I quit checking here about 6 months ago. I miss it and have been trying it again lately and it is worse!
I do not have much time on the computer each day and really miss this forum!
Anyone else notice the sight being really slow, especially compared to other forum sights??

Please see response from IB re this very issue.
Rest assured that we are not taking it lightly and it is being looked at.......
"This is part of a problem that has been affecting our entire network of sites over the past 3 months. It's our entire tech departments priority one issue, and has been for many weeks now. We've eliminated about 85% of the potential causes at this point, and continue to narrow it down further each day. I don't have a firm timeline, or an excuse, other than to say we're working on it, and are keenly aware of the negative effect it is having on our communities, and the people who visit them.
I am truly sorry that this has been ongoing for so long. Were in within my power to flip some switches and have it go away, I surely would.
Thanks for the reports, and your patience, as we continue working to alleviate the problem."

It does seem a bit faster, but I'm running WinXP with IE8, so what do I know.
However, there is one thing that is annoying to me (don't know if it happens to others). Sometimes when I sign on to the site, my "last visit" time is the same time as when I sign on. It happened this morning around 4:30 am and I hadn't been on this site since around 6 PM or so Pacific time last night. That takes out all previous new posts and the "read first unread" function.
Any ideas for a fix, is it just me or does it happen to others ???

I have also noticed weird behavior when posting a reply to a thread. After submit the screen hangs forever and I finally have to hit the "stop" button on my browser (Firefox). Most of the time my post successfully shows up and occasionally I get a message that I was trying to make a duplicate post. There is definitely something strange about the server that this forum uses.

Hey guys,
On April 10th we will be performing some maintenance across our network to optimize and continue to improve site speed and network stability.
That will require JaguarForums to be down at some point during the hours of 8:00pm – 3:00am PST and the outage will generally last for about 2 hours somewhere during that time.
