Happy 2020 to All from not-so-frozen-just-yet Canada!

I'm quite the techno-luddite, but I decided to update my Avatar WITHOUT consulting a 4 yr old first, and no matter how I try to upload a new avatar picture, the system wants to rotate the picture counter-clockwise 90 degrees, and stand my car on its nose! What am I doing wrong?

 

The picture gets posted in the orientation that it was taken. So when the photo was taken, the equipment was not in the correct orientation. Some software look at this data in the image and make a display correction. A lot of online forum software do not - such as Jaguar Forums - as that data is removed.

Post the original photo here and we can make the correction so that it will display properly in your avatar.

 

Your are assuming the smart in smartphone means clever.

This was as easy as simply rotating the existing picture, however, I did not do so because I thought it needed cropped correctly and would wanted the original to go off of.
