Default JF won't stay logged in

Has anyone noticed that JF won't stay logged in for more than a day or so?

This seems to be happening on both of my personal computers as well as the mobile site on my smartphone. Kinda annoying to have to log in over and over again...!

Alan,

I don't usually logout of the forum but was automatically logged out about 14 hours ago. This was the first time it has happened in several weeks and the only time it's happened today.

I'll check with forum owners, Internet Brands, to find out what's going on.

Graham

I think all the IB sites kicked everybody out a day or two ago while doing an upgrade. I have seen a few 'database failure' pages though.

Same for all of us I'm afraid Alan, hopefully IB will get it resolved at some point

Not being able to stay logged in is situation normal for me, not just a special
situation. Yes, cookies allowed, etc.

Alan,

You mention also using a Smartphone to login to the forum. Are you using Two-Step Authentication?

Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum - Security - Help

If not, please don't set it up just yet as it could cause more problems!

The reason I ask is because it appears Two-Step Authentication will force a login every 7 days.

Graham

I use an iPad, a laptop and a desk top computer to view this forum.

I find lately that the laptop and desk top both log me out after a period of inactivity.

My iPad, however, never seems to get logged out. I leave it on much of the time. Even when not in use, I just close it up(it's in a clamshell case so it goes to "sleep"). It turns back on mmediately and if I go straight to Safari and the sie page is still open, I'll be logged in.

I don't get it either.

The site becomes unresponsive for me within minutes everyday and time I'm on. It just started a few days ago. It just happened again. Have to close the page and hope it works. It doesn't always work.

On the screenshot power is down to 5% and WiFi connection very weak at just two bars.

Is this a common factor when you have log out issues or just coincidental?

The Wi-Fi bars are full. They are the arched bars horizontal to the screen. It happens at full power. It happens when I'm on the charger. It literally happens constantly regardless of phone power/connection.

I found the problem with my mobile phone. Apparently the mobile site has no apparent way to "stay logged in". The way to stay logged in on the mobile site is to navigate to the full site, log in and check "stay logged in". Then go back to the mobile site and you should be logged in for good!

I'm guessing the issue with my desktop was a temporary issue.
