What a daft and bad change.

It wasn't broken but now is.

What you refer to as "Guests" are generally contributing "Members" who provide the knowledge, the expertise, experience and comradery, the "magic" that has made Jaguar Formums.com far superior to most other automotive forums.

The IB appears to be following in the footsteps of the delusional remake of "The Automotive Brand that no longer makes automobiles".

It boils down to RESPECT.

Today, while using my Android phone to catch up on Jaguar Forums, I realized that the dropdown menu arrow does not appear beside the new Like button unless you go to the Menu and select View Full Site.

If the same is true when using an iPhone, then the vast majority of the 75% of members who reportedly use their mobile devices to access the forums will never see the dropdown menu (or Likers' names and avatars) because they'll rarely if ever use the View Full Site option. Most won't ever know that option even exists.

This seems like yet another "feature" of the new design that undermines its stated objectives.

Cheers,

Don
