Question Logging in

Ever since I asked Jim to merge two accounts, I keep running into problems:

When I click "jag forum" in my bookmarks, I'm automatically logged in (I can see "welcome, wannesd" in top right corner. I can also access my pm's from here.

Whatever else I try to do (open a thread or click on a photo), I get this:

You have entered an invalid username or password. Please press the back button, enter the correct details and try again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!

You have used 3 out of 5 login attempts. After all 5 have been used, you will be unable to login for 15 minutes.
When I get this, nothing I do gets me logged in. But when I then click the bookmarked link again, I'm magically logged in

I really don't understand this!

Hmmm...strange!
Try removing your existing bookmark and open your browser, type in Jaguarforums.com and get a fresh bookmark to add to your favourites and try linking to the forum that way.
Meantime I'll check your account and see what I can see..... Any more probs please let me know

Just a thought. For login testing purposes try using a different browser.

If this works, then,

Try deleting the bookmark and clearing your original Browser Cache.

You will also need to enable the site to set a temporary cookie. You can set your browser to clear this when you close it.

And then set the bookmark to the Forum Home Page NOT LOGGED IN.

I have the feeling that you are not in fact logged in when you hit your bookmark.

I manually login whenever I visit the forum.

Have you tried from a different PC?

This is entirely up to you but if you would like me to test your Forum login from this PC
send me a PM with your details.

I will try a login for you and let you know the result by PM.

You can then simply change your password should you wish to.

All the best,

New symptom:

When I go to the bookmark, or just type in jaguarforums.com, it automatically logs me on. This is the only way for me to post replies (as I'm doing now), or check pm's. So it really is logging on.

However, when I receive email (as I just did, notifying me of a reply in this thread), I can not log on. So in one tab, I'm logged on as wannesd, and I can do whatever I want. But in the other tab, created automatically by clicking the email link, I'm not logged on, so can't reply. Even when I want to logon manually, it says that I have used invalid username or password.

Quite irritating
