logins and broken cookie handling
JF seems to be ignoring/losing session cookies.
1. view "today's posts" without logging in
2. open a thread of interest in new tab
3. login to post takes two tries
4. post reply
5. return to "today's posts" on first tab
6. open another thread of interest in new tab
result: not logged in, session cookie is gone.
7 try to login again ... won't work, conflict somewhere, but will work later
same scenario works flawlessly on webhostingtalk.com which is also a vbulletin site

Well of course it was in IE .. IE8 to be specific.
Opera is heavy.
Firefox ... who can put up with their constant broken releases ... every few weeks?
Now it gets better .... some advertiser is running an ad that locks up the browser completely at 100 percent cpu forcing a end task operation to recover.
It is possible to run a forum on vbulletin without all these problems. Plenty of forums other than JF manage to do so and have done so for years.
Therefore, it is a problem specific to JF.
