The last five posts I have written, some of which rather lengthy, all blew up. I'm keeping this one short to see if it gets through.

We don't find these things out until after we hit the key. Try spending 30 minutes writing a detailed technical diagnosis regime to provide free help to someone, only to watch it evaporate into the ether.

Technical difficulties during server maintenance and repairs I am afraid. I too have lost a couple lengthy posts. Until it is consistently working correctly, I too 'copy' then [ok].

sorry bud, it is frustrating, I know. Take a break for a few days, and try again. Or PM the poster you are trying to help and give it to them verbally.

As previously posted Jagtech............copy your text before you click ok. That way its there for you if / when it doesn't go through first time around, especially on such a long post.

Its just happened to me 3 or 4 times as I was trying to post, if its any consolation[&:]

Hopefully it should be sorted soon enough for the sake of our sanity...lol

This is frustrating. Any word on how things are coming? I can make replies but cannot put up new posts.

It's happened to me on replies too. You're right it is very frustrating. I just chalk it up to these crazy computers that are trying to control our lives.

I don't know if this helps, but through trial and error I'm finding out that the site seems to be "timing out" during preparation of long posts. This one is short, and will probably get through. Anything much longer does not, And I have been unable to save them.

Pink Floyd posts: Short, sharp shots.

They were geniuses, Englishmen who also wrote the phrase "Hanging on in quiet desparation is the English way". Truer words never uttered.
