Default Safari/iPad compatability

There is something unusual with the way the iPad Safari browser is interacting with the forum mod to display attached photos. When a photo is clicked, it appears off-screen, and then when you try to scroll to it, it goes away a my guess is that it is interpreting the tap/scroll of the screen as a click-off of the pic.

You might need to install a different browser unless you can find a mode to set it's compatibility to IE or Firefox. I see there is a browser, Bolt, that is supposed to be IE compatible.

IE8 , FF ,Maxtron or Opera way better than Safari . It lacks of the essence of what you expect from a browser

Cadillac...

I think the problem with the iPad is that non of those browers are available for it. There are a limited set of applications for the device at this time.

Yea, as much as I am not a fan of Safari, it is the only browser available on the iPad.

I think Bolt is only for iPhone, not for iPad, but I will take a look.

Wouldn't you expect that the MacMorons would include a browser app that allows one to surf compatably with the majority of what's on the web (since that's one of the primary intended uses of the iPad)?

They are also trying to kill flash by not letting it run on the iPad. So far it hasn't been a problem for me. I regard this as more of a toy than a tool. I do all my serios work on my pc and I don't think any Mac is ever going to change that. I now have both ends of the spectrum a super fast laptop that allows me to show clients various designs while allowing me to make changes on the fly,but battery life is under an hour due to the desktop processor it uses and the extreme heat the machine generates. The iPad is just the opposite, allowing casual Internet use, etc, with incredible portability and great battery life. This is the first apple product I have purchased (my iPod was a prize I won) and I like their niche products, just not their computers.

I have a new iPad no problems so far on the JF. Google's Chrome is available, I often have both Chrome and Safari open at the same time.
