I just read a post for a remote key-fob programming procedure that "works with a 2001 XK8/R". While this is not my model and I have not lost or broken any key-fob transmitters yet, there will come a day when I am looking for this post.

Previously, I recall posts that instructed key sequences to enter from the nav/touch screen to enter certain diagnostic modes.

I would like to suggest the administrator set up a sub-forum level thread to track these type posts.

Not only would it allow us to find these gems again, I'm sure I would learn things I never knew existed.

Thanks for your suggestion but you can also use FAQ sections for such tips .

 

BK...These sections exist as FAQ sections to assist all.
Unfortunately I cannot get round all threads in all sections, however, as stated previously many times.
If anyone sees a thread they think worthy of FAQdom please advise either myself, Caddie or one of the other mods and we will get it sorted as its for everyones benefit.

The faq doesn't address this or I would have found a list of codes am hour ago, beyond 917 and 1971.
