I recently copied a list of acronyms from notepad to a thread. In notepad all letters were in capitals. In the "Post Reply" window all letters were capitals. In the final published post all letters were changed to lowercase. No matter how many times I edit it or use different methods the site still converts it to lowercase.

I was able to edit a few of the acronyms to proper uppercase. There is a feature in the software that prevents all uppercase text but I don't believe that should have applied in this event.
Since you said notepad, are you using the full view site and accessing via a computer? If so, also list the browser despite it's most likely not a factor but I'd want that information to check.
Ahh ok, I never tried edit just a few. I only tried copy/paste the whole content of the notepad document. So perhaps this triggered the software function that prevents all uppercase because there wasn't a single lowercase letter in the original text
Yes, Chrome on Windows 10. Full view.
I have attached the document too if that helps.
EDIT:
I just tried again over your edit and it did the same thing. So I think you hit the nail on the head about the prevention function. You can test it by changing a few to uppercase again saving then copy/pasting the contents of the file.
