X-Type Transer Case - Please Help!!
I have a 2002 X-Type 3.0 Sport and the Transfer Case is ruined. My extended warranty company says they won't fix it because it's a maintenance issue. I told them the transfer case is a sealed part and is non-serviceable so there's no way it can be a maintenance issue. They told me they need that in writing from a Jag mechanic and then they can fix my car. I can't seem to find a mechanic who is willing to put this in writing, although they all tell me that there is no way it's a maintenance issue. Can someone please help?!! I have been without a car for a week and I can't afford to pay for the repair out of pocket. I paid for the warranty and they should fix my car. It clearly states that the transfer case is a covered component. Please please help!!!

No joke, get a recorder and call both your insurance company AND Jaguar and tell your insurance company that you can prove it to them that Jaguar seals their Transmissions. Tell Jaguar that you want to know where the fill port is on the transmission for a fluid change and watch them tell you it's a sealed unit then. Seriously though, tell your insurance company to stop eating **** because they know that Jaguars come with "sealed for life" transmissions. They know what they're doing.
