Hi all.
I have a 1966 Jaguar 420 which is my daily driver.
The dashboard clock is the only thing that doesn't operate properly. I've searched the net for a replacement or a refurbishment service, without success.
Does anyone know where I can source a clock or send my clock to be refurbished?
Where is the clock on the 420 ? There are firms and kits here in the UK that will repair the clock that sits in the rev counter of Mark 2 saloon, here is one : - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373437568...g&gad_source=1
For my '66 Mark 10 (clock mounted in the tachometer), I discovered that when power is restored, the clock won't run until it is reset with the cable/knob dongle thing. I believe this is mentioned in the workshop manual. Odd. Apparently, it is a feature: the clock will more obviously be wrong after a power interruption if it isn't running at all.
Did someone at Jaguar or Smiths miss a train because of a clock that was ten minutes slow after a battery swap?
