This was our family car when I was a kid. I remember bottles of power steering fluid in the trunk as it had a slow leak. It also had electric windows, which was a thing back then.

 

I assume that's you in the car with the big grin on your face ! It was said at Jaguar that the XJ saloon of 1968 was a 420G with the air let out of the bodyshell ! The car was not a big seller in the UK due to its size, especially width, and thirst for petrol. There are very few around now.

It was such a wonderful car. We had lots of fun sliding from one side to the other in the rear seat as it went around corners!

I believe the two-tone scheme was black over ascot fawn.
