Welcome to the forums Jamo 123,

I've moved your post from Jaguar Forums Feedback & Suggestion Centre to Mark V - X 420G forum for advice from members with the same model. The Feedback & Suggestion Centre is for posts about the forum and not for technical advice.

Good luck on your project. I went through the wheel cylinders and shoes. I got stumped trying to rebuild the master cylinders for the brake and clutch. Unlike the old style American units that are assembled with snap rings, these units have a screw in end cap. It is necessary to unscrew almost an inch of coupling to gain access to the rear inner seal. The threads on mine are completely seized solid. I tried spraying Kroil penetrant, heat, soaking in rust dissolver long breaker bars and so far no luck. I'm investigating using some type of universal master cylinders but I've just put everything on hold. I had a big home improvement project started before the epidemic hit. Things there have ground to a halt. So everything has been placed on hold. Stay safe everyone.
