It's time to be thinking about interior. The question comes up about the sills, mine are currently vinyl but I have seen some photos on line with carpet. One of the trim suppliers also says that the 420G had carpet.

Which is correct?

Mine were carpeted, as were any i have seen.

 

Only Jaguar I ever saw with vinyl on the inner sills was an E-type. All the saloons were carpet AFAIK.

 

I've only seen two 420G's in the flesh, mine and the only other one on Vancouver Island which had vinyl, maybe LHD's had vinyl, or just North America. Perhaps some lefties could chime in.
