looks like a MK-8, or MK-9, the Landau style of the hardtop gives it away. They are huge cars, like a Bentley. They have a 4.2 liter XK engine.

yes, in the class of The Big Saloons, probably a Mk-VIII. the more I look at it, it's definitely a Big Saloon.

the Small Saloons are the MK-1, MK-2, S type, and 420.

you welcome! sort of a coincidence, I came across a MK-VIII Owners Manual from 1957, you can see the Landau-style top in the pictures...
