This reeks of an email scam. Reply, and you'll likely find your email address on a spam list.

2017 is still under factory 5 yr warranty.
Can't see someone of right mind selling a $133K vehicle for even $65K while still under warranty.
One month later, OP still hasn't replied...

I say scam as well. The owner is probably "out of town" and will arrange an agent to handle the transaction. Riiight.

He's/she's been on the f-type section for a while looking for parts, does not seem like its spam. Odd though it wasn't fixed under warranty but could have done something to void the warranty, remember its been heavily modified

.. I willing to take a chance for spam ( I already get a ton so who cares)

More Info, seller is legit, realtor in Miami. Car is salvage so no warranty. With a good engine carfax values has it at $69,890

at 33k good project car. engine used will go out at 10-12K , and say 2k to install that's 47 for a salvage car. If you just want to drive who cares about the salvage....

I may just fly down and take a look (cheap flights and its Miami)

If you have not purchased salvage cars before be aware some insurers will not insure them, recalls (such as air bags) may not be offered, few dealers will take them in on trade, they can be very difficult to sell and some states will not issue titles. That said, I have owned a few and they have served me well. One even stayed with three generations of the next owner's family and is worth more today than the day I sold it.

In no case would I consider one without photos before repairs. Some states retain detailed photos and documentation of all replaced parts prior to issuing a rebuilt title. If it is a flood car I would not consider it at all.

I am glad the seller appears to be real. Good luck.

I have purchased and salvaged cars in the past. This is not an insurance salvage, no claims made... Needs and engine and likely more. I can fly down there no issues and will as soon as I get more details. Just waiting it out right now thanks

NO he still has it, he is being unreasonable for a car with a bad engine. He is married ti the fact that the car he optioned with things like the ceramic brakes and 2500/each custom HRE wheels should be worth more even though it does not run.

I offered to fly down to take a look and maybe offer more but its sitting. Every month that goes by its loses value too. I keep pinging them to see if they feel like making a move.. I'll be patient.

This seems strange, why is this a salvage title? Blowing the engine alone would not earn it a salvage title. So there had to be some kind of accident that damaged more than the engine.

Not a salvage title, I don;t know where that come from.

Not a scam, spoke to the Girlfriend, they are legit.

Here is the sticker, That plus HRE wheels, exhaust etc he wants 64K as it sits, bad engine, 33K repair bill.

Car with options is worth 67K running according to Carfax. Aftermarket options ( wheels are 2700 each) exhaust and whatnot he feels it is worth the 64K with a bad engine. Look at the bottom of the autocheck they list additional custom work that adds to their price.

So not a salvage?? Then what?? It should still be under warranty- right there on the sticker it shows 5 year/50,000 miles....

Note- Carfax/Autocheck are not the be all/end all resource for whether a car is salvage.

Assuming he's legit, what choices does he have? Either (1) fix it and keep it for a while and then sell it or (2) sell it now. Either way it'll cost him money, which he appears to have no shortage of. It's much harder to sell a car that doesn't run (particularly with a blown engine) than one that runs because the Buyer can't determine what other problems exist and will knock the price down because of the unknowns. That's why it hasn't sold. If I were the Seller, I'd fix it, drive it for a year or so, and then sell it. I'd probably have many eager buyers lined up and lose less that way. Just my
