Purchased new from San Jose British Motors as a company vehicle for the original owner, sold to the second owner in 2015. Second owner donated the automobile via BringATrailer.com auction website on Behalf of Humane Society Daly City CA.
Current owner purchased (Bring A Trailer) the XK8 convertible 7/25/17, shipping via enclosed car hauler from selling agent California address to Denver Colorado.
Description
Power is from a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter DOHC V8 that was rated at 290 horsepower when new and is paired with a ZF 5-speed automatic transmission. The deep green metallic paint bears occasional signs of use, including a smattering of rock chips in the nose and the finish on the trunk lid shows patchy fading in direct sunlight as detailed in the gallery. Factory split-spoke wheels show some curb damage and wear. The fabric convertible top is in excellent condition (garage parking only), and it functions satisfactory, with no know hydraulic issues, said top houses a heated glass rear window which is functional. Finished in creme leather set off by glossy burl walnut trim (rare), the interior shows mild creasing along with a small wear spot on the outer driver's seat bolster. Front seats are heated and powered on both sides. A crack is noted in the plastic driver-side kick panel. Factory carpet floor mats remain in place, with new WeatherTech mats protecting original carpeting. A stock stereo is retained along with a trunk-mounted CD changer and separate factory DVD-based navigation system. The digital odometer currently 66064 miles.
