Default MommasJag - Gone but not forgotten

Please see below the touching tribute of a loving son for his mother who recently passed away.

"My name is Johnny and I joined this Forum as a way to help my Mother, who passed away last Saturday, realize a dream of hers, and that was to own and drive a Jaguar. She, nor I are really financially set enough to afford traditional car care methods, in the way of Dealership care. The expert tips and advice to me to be able to perform the repairs and upkeep on her Jaguar were directly responsible in my being able to help her to attain her dream car. There were really only 2 things in her life that mattered and that was her children and that Jaguar. I just wanted to stop in and let you guys know that sometimes, without your knowledge, you touch people in ways you never dreamed. Mom was so grateful to you guys, as I am, for the help that you have given us. I never got bad advice and MOm still drove her Jaguar up to the day she passed away. It was really something, and extremely heart warming to see a 78 year old woman jump in her Jaguar and drive off. It was like she was transformed during those times. Again, to all who have helped, A sincere thank you for the help in making one of my MOm's dreams come true. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Our thoughts are with you Johnny

My condolences to Johnny and his family. His nice gesture to his mother late in her life must have meant alot to her. And this group at JF played a part. Good stuff.

Default Nice note

That note to the forum was a nice surprise. I'm glad that his Mom accomplished her dreams.

Johnny didn't have to take the time to write in to us, but that made my day.

Thanks for writing us johnny; reading about your mothers love for her kids and jag was heartwarming, and knowing that the guys n gals comprising this forum helped in such a degree to you and both. Your mom stood an intelligent, classy, and humble woman from my.perspective...an admirable, yet difficult combination to pull off.

Oh this brought a tear to my eye and made my day also...what a wonderful son and also a wonderful tribute to the forum. One of my dreams since age 12 was to one day own a black Jaguar and fly down Lake Shore Drive in Chicago with my red hair blowing in the wind...Took me a long time to finally own one and speed down LS. I am 56 now and I DO feel transformed each time I climb into my car. I hope that when I'm 70+ I will still be "jumping into my Jag and driving off!!"

I also do not have lots of money to afford dealer repair prices and I am extremely grateful to the people here for all the advice and tips!
