Default 1967 340 Windscreen / Windshield and Rear Window NEEDED !

Been a while since I've posted...
Getting my son's 67 340 ready for the road, but have encountered a REAL PROBLEM with attempting to find a source for where a windshield may even have at one time been available !

If someone could point us in the right direction, we would be very grateful !

Talk to these folk that seem to understand reproduction glass for guidance.

https://www.all-westglass.com/b/repl...-or-custom-car

Otherwise It's Moss USA

Half my family lives in Canada so excuse an SA response.

Hopefully a resident Canadian will respond.

A caveat from a Canadian: when I was restoring my Mk 2 I wanted to put in a new windscreen. The appropriate one was ordered (but I cannot remembered the source - lilely XKs Unlimited or Welsh)....and it did not fit the aperture angles. There was nothing, nothing the glass man could do to make it lie flat in the aperture. In the end we simply refitted the original glass - which went in perfectly. So if your original glass is still usable, keep it handy!

Pilkington/Triplex can provide. That's what is in my restored S Type ~ new. I imported it to SA from UK. Perfect fit. Same as Mk2, 420.

Options Clear, Sundym, Green top tint.

Copying glass has become quite easy if you have an original. Many have it done for classics in SA & it's perfect. No distortion etc. Multi curved no issue.

Definitely no glass here to use for reference. This car had been vandalized MANY years ago, with all of the glass being the primary target.
We did acquire donor doors, which provided all of the side glass.
However , the rear glass that came with that batch of stuff, was incorrect.
So, actually still in need of front and rear.

Thank you to everybody for the very quick replies !

I will make a few phone calls, and send a few emails to the companies mentioned.

You might have trouble with new rear glass & especially if heated. You might have to seek out used from a donor. Used is fine for rear as it is seldom damaged or sandblasted.

Would definitely prefer a used rear glass, but have absolutely no sources for used parts in our area.

Thanks Frazer. The last time I looked a while back for a friend they could not supply. Excellent. They obviously have had some stock made. The story of Jaguar ~ parts come & go.

For Australian forum members there is a local glass manufacturer who does excellent MK1 and MK2 windscreens. They are Moran Glass and their address is 136 Ingleston Rd, Wakerley QLD 4154. (that is a suburb of Brisbane) I have used their glass on a number of occasions in the past decades for both MK1 and MK2 cars. My current MK1 and MK2 both have Moran Glass windscreens and they fitted perfectly. Their prices were pretty good and I paid around A$150 for the latest MK2 windscreen I fitted about 3 years ago. I am not sure if they are into exporting to other countries. They do have a website.
