According to this website it is located on the Bulkhead behind the engine.

Many thanks for the reply! I checked there as well but it's nowhere to be found. That is why I was asking for all possible locations

On my 1990 DS420 the only place is on the stamped chassis plate.

Try joining this group on facebook dedicated to the DS420. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1735262173386846Someone on there should be able to help you. It sounds like the VIN plate has gone missing on your car and with it the chassis number. In the UK we have a log book for the car called a V5 and the chassis number is included in this document.
You have your location as Latsia, is that in Cyprus?

on my -64 S it can also be found stamped into the metal on top of plate just in front of radiator (to the right of latch seen from front looking into enginebay) Picture for illustration

The slam panel is the most common next to the latch but Jagboi owns one or two of these vehicles & would be the most likely to be correct. Someone might have removed the chassis plate.

The link does not seem to want to work so if you go on Facebook and just search for DS420 and an owners club will come up which you have to join. That is possibly why the link does not work. Join the facebook page and ask one of the owners they should know. Failing that contact Jaguar heritage and give them as much information as you have, Engine number, Gearbox number, Year and so on and they might be able to search on their records for you car on the engine number and tell you which chassis number it relates to.

Jaguar Heritage will only confirm numbers supplied to them, they won't supply missing numbers. They also require proof of ownership, so if you're missing a car number I'm not sure you could have a registration certificate that would prove ownership.

On the 420G/Mk X, I think the stamped chassis number and the chassis plate were on the inner wheel wells. Since they are essentially the same under body as the DS420, it may be worth looking there.

DS 420's I find have a crocodile bonnet/hood ~ unlike the 420G/Mk X ~ man they are huge beasts.

And are marked as Jagboi says: This one includes a VIN plate but old data plate. Might be a Country requirement somewhere.

I was able to have a close look at my car, and the VIN number is stamped in the channel at the back of the bonnet between the bonnet and the cowl, on the right side of the car. Mine is a 1990 and the cars did change over the years, but have a look there and see what you can find.

That they are! A friend of mine has a 1967 Chrysler 300 and we parked it beside my limo. The Chrysler is the same width and length, but quite a bit shorter. Alas, the Daimler doesn't have the get up and go of the 440 in the Chrysler. 164hp in a 6,000lb car isn't a recipe for speed. The one occasion I timed my Daimler I managed 0-60 in 23 seconds!

Alas, no. Just me in the car, and a 2 way timed average to account for grade or wind.

You mention "the Widow" in jest, but in the parts book the grab handle in the rear compartment is called the "Dowager Handle"
