Default 240 Jaguar Oil Pressure Sender.

Hello All,
Can someone tell me where the Oil Pressure Sender is on a 240 Jaguar. The wire colours at what I believe to be the sender, don't match those at the gauge, and a test for continuance of the wire at the gauge and at what I believe is the sender shows these wires to be not connected.

Regards,

Brent

Should be near the oil filter housing.

If you have no luck in finding the correct wires and getting the electric gauge to work, then I would recommend a bourbon tube gauge.
I have a bourbon tube gauge out of a Morris Mini that looks identical to the original _ the only thing I had to do was to use the original black bezel to change out the chrome one that was on the Mini.

The bourbon tube gauge is 100% reliable and far more accurate.

What do you believe to be the sensor ? The sender is screwed into the top of the oil filter casting, which is holds the filter, and is also the pressure regulator. The unit is like a little pot about 1.5" across.
