Default 340 Front valence panel

I am currently restoring a 1967 340 when I looked in all the catalogues in mentions that the 240/340 has a special front valance panel (part number MRK4 from Martin Robey/SNG Barratt) but cannot see how this is installed on the car. Any assisitance and pictures would be welcome

I think it is the same valance being reproduced by Martin Robey for the S type because the 340 uses the same front bumper as the S type;

it is an under-bumper metal piece which covers the top of the front member.
it is mounted with 4 screws. Very simple to install. Attached is a drawing and a picture of an old valance in place.

FYI, I have a 3.8s and think that valence is not that great so I am currently having a custom one made using modern rubber valence material to cover up more of the ugly bits that your model and the 3.8s leave exposed even if you had that valence it does not hide all of the ugly bits... when I am done I will be posting it

Thanks for this but I had already purchased the metal one so I am going to stick with the old design even with its shortcomings

FYI, you should check out "the International Jaguar S-type registry" they are focused on that specific model and they have pictures of that front piece mounted on a Jaguar. When we compete the custom valance with modern materials I'll post it. When you look at the metal one it is hard to tell it is even there as it only covers less than half and maybe only a third to a quarter of the front bits
