Default 64 MK2 Radiator Grille Mounting

Hi Folks,
I put my grille together today after getting the components from the plater. My grille had been removed previously by other owners of the car and so I really don't know how the washers are to be located on the grille screws. I have two bent oval washers and two strip washers (with three holes each) on the sides of the grille. Clearly another of the strip washers is used at the bottom of the vane. Can anyone help with proper placement?

Thanks!

Lin

On my 66 the bent round washer goes to the top stud and the three hole strips were on the side. Don't recall a bottom bit. I'm fed up with the pissy little nuts that hold it all together so I'm going to machine some long screws that are "finger friendly" to put it back together. My arm just gets thru the access port so I want to make it easier in the future to remove the grille....

Thanks, Steve.
Hmmm. I have a total of five studs. Four on the sides and one on the bottom. #10 hex head bolt at top with cup washer.

EXCELLENT idea to replace the original nuts with something longer. I may just look for extenders. Actually, if you could get them tight enough a knurled knob of some sort might be useful.

Thanks, again.
