Always liked to see an engine in this state as apposed to the grotty and damaged mess we so very often find them in.
It's extremely satisfying to get to this point !

Beautiful! Just as nice on the inside as the outside!
I see you have the exhaust manifolds and carbs in place. Will you install the engine with them in place or will you remove them before the install? My engine is all rebuilt and shiny but I can't decide if I should put the exhaust manifold and carbs on before the install or after. Certainly easier to add out of the car but will they make install much more difficult? I really don't know which way to go.

i can't say much about the installation, as i didn't do the rebuild and won't be doing the installation.
i'm just an owner that's paying through the nose!

i created another thread about six months ago WRT this project and just updated it. might want to check it out.

raise the car and then lower it over the engine. Then raise the engine with a hoist.

If you are going down through the top then C arbs and Exhaust manifolds can be attached. This is the way I did it but if you are lifting the engine from the bottom I am not sure as it is pretty tight between the chassis legs and the top of the engine with everything attached is pretty wide. Having the carbs and manifolds attached before lowering the engine is a lot better as getting to the lower nuts and bolts on both when the engine is sat on its mounts is very difficult. Not a lot of room.
