yes, I think the key is to incorporate the a/c evap, the heater core, and blower together, in the original blower box, like the UK company does.

Hmmm- I looked at Vintage Air, and they don't advertise a product specifically for a MK2 Jaguar or any other Jaguar. They do make some nice components though, and I suppose if someone was talented enough, they could design a pretty nice system for the Jag. There are always going to be tradeoffs though- along the lines of you can't get 10lbs of stuff in a 5lb bag.

here is the UK business that makes a/c for MK-2 and this system involves modifications as well, but the battery remains in the engine compartment.
