Default front suspension mounting?

has anyone mounted the front suspension solid to frame and not used the rubber mounts? Please reply from an "I have done this" position. I know everyone has done it stock, but isn't that is what the suspension does, seems a bit dangerous..

It is to prevent vibration and noise from the road coming into the car. When these cars were being raced, (and I have seen them racing at Silverstone !), I believe the suspension was bolted on solid, but then refinement isn't needed in a racer. If you do this on your car, it will become very rough and noisy. Those old Jaguar engineers in the 50s knew their stuff.

I think the car that CMC has done for Cullum is mount solid, from what you can read.

I guess I am good then, I have removed everything
that prevents feed back from the road.
I want to feel the tires bend in a turn. I have added
a rear sway bar and 6.5" road wheels. My wife wanted
a hot rod!

Many people mount it on solid mounts or stiffer poly mounts there is no safety issues it is just more for luxury versus performance/feel.
