Default Head Reassembly

Rebuilding the head and I’ve no idea what the arm is for, if I need it (it’s not on moss motors diagrams)

You need that. It's part of the throttle lever assembly.

Taking a photo is difficult with the carbs on as this is behind the carbs. All should reveal itself if you offer up the carbs to the inlet manifold as you will then see how the linkages go together.

Gotta point down, as that is where the linkage is .

Thank you, found a diagram and it seems what threw me is there a repeat of the link on the existing car and one on the donor head... so i think i know what to do

I am missing part # 76 and i dont know where it goes to fabricate a replacement.

#76 is just a small piece of tin bent to 90 degrees and sits under one of the bolts on the oil filter housing. It has indentation for strength not that it particularly needs it but the spring #76 does close the throttle butterflies down so you would not want it bending. The spring #75 then hooks on to #76 below the carbs. It is a bitch to get the end of the spring in the tiny hole on #76 so you might as well fabricate your own part out of flat steel with a bigger hole for #75

IMHO, any parts that are fabricated would benefit from being made of stainless...
