My local (usually excellent) paint supplier is having trouble providing me with some decent match touch up paint, even using 2 different Spectrometers on the filler cap.
Has anyone got a recommended supplier for this colour paint please?
Short of any suggestions, I've found this company and after viewing a couple of posts about the success people are having with brushpainting, I'm thinking of getting the 'Traditional Synthetic Coach Enamel' as I only need to touch up a few spots here and there and some bubbling at the bottom of the boot lid
I recently purchased a 1960 MK2 painted Willow Green so the seller touted. It sure looks Willow Green to all the other photos I have seen.
Anyhow I took a spat to a local paint supplier to try and get, as you, some touch up and enough to repaint a rear quarter. I got a quart, did some touch up, and it matches perfectly as the store did use the spat with the spectrometer. I am in Florida.
Now for the maybe bad news. My car was originally blue, so it had received a compete repaint years ago. So I have no idea what paint was used other than it is single stage. So my Willow Green may not be the exact same shade as an original Jaguar coming from the factory.
Here is the paint that that I was supplied. Not sure it will help you but the mixing formula for the brand is shown. Here is the paint website and phots of my paint can
By the way, your car is just beautiful. Is it a 240 or 340 as I see it has the thinner bumpers? Plus I lust after the sunroof. Is it a factory Webasto unit? I looked into installing one but expensive and not a lot of room for error, even if one can find a refurbished complete sunroof.
Hi, Thanks for your reply. Its not a Jag but a Daimler V8-250. The sunroof is dark green vinyl, not sure of the make as I've only just taken delivery of the car and just getting to know it..

Ok, the give away is the exhaust exit that is not a stock MK2. Do a search on Webasto and you might get some answers on the sun roof.
I would have said the give away was the Daimler crinkly grill and lack of leaper but what do I know.
Quite an unusual colour but the guy that runs the S Type appreciation face book page has an S Type in the same colour and the same year 1967.
