Default Holes in front fenders - for?

My 1960 MK 2 has three holes is each front fender. The two on the top are 5 1/4" apart. Top holes are 3/16". The single hole is about 6" down from the top, and 11 1/2" ahead of front door edge. The single hole on the side is 9/64".

Mirrors? Which mirror?
Emblem? Which emblem?
Any ideas?
Thanks

Did the car have a tow ball? A 3 leg truck mirror would seem to be a likely candidate. Some dealers added a badge to the front wings but that was normally very low and directly behind the wheel well opening.

Interesting. I was thinking badge & long base racing mirror. It was a college kids car in Tennessee for a while. No hitch when I got it. I'll send a note to the guy that sold it to me.
Thanks.

Has to be some badge or similar, can't believe a mirror would have only 9/64th fixing holes, that's only 0BA, surely a truck mirror would fall off or get blown off with fixings that small Clyde, I have looked at mirrors, but can't find anything with either that mounting or that size fixing.

Other than some sort of badge, I would not have a clue, sorry, would be very interesting to hear if you find out what it was, I will eat humble pie if it turns out to be truck mirrors.

Holes are uniform side for side. Previous owner did not know the holes were there. I looked back at the pictures from when I brought it home. No holes. You can see primer over the lower hole. The sand/glass blasting opened up the holes.
