Default Jaguar With An Odd Colour

Never seen a colour like this before on a Mark II, or any other Jag for that matter.
Doesn't do much for it...

That colour is Heather ( as in the Scottish flowers). I have seen it before on an E Type and a Series 1 Daimler Double Six. I think it looks horrible in person on a Daimler.

This colour was available on Series 1 XJ saloons, but not on Mark 2s ever. I suppose it suits the 70s decade !!

Yes, it was on the Series I and also available on the Series II - you can only imagine how that looked.

Mary Kay Cosmetics in the USA painted their fleet of Cadillacs in the same color, a beige-pink color.

Perhaps the next registration number 666 would have been more appropriate.

Nevertheless, a superb looking restoration.

Looking at it a second time, I find it truly nauseating. Why anyone would spend the time and effort and money to do a complete restoration and then afflict it with this colour is just a mystery. Yet someone else bought it! No accounting for taste, is there?

That color certainly makes a "statement"... though I am not sure it is a statement that needs to be made.
