Default Looking for 1961 Mark ll road history

My name is Richard, I live in Gilroy, California. I have two classics Jaguars, 1955 XK140 and 1961 Mark ll. I am looking for the road history on the Mark ll. If anyone could direct me where I can go to learn the road history of this car it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Rich

1961 Mark ll 2.4

Don't quite understand what you mean by road history?

You can start learning about the history of your car by applying for a Heritage Certificate from https://www.jaguarheritage.com/archi.../certificates/ This will show you the date the car was made, its original specifications and the details of the first owner or the garage it was sent to for sale.
Tracing the history of a car can be quite difficult if it has had multiple owners and the fact the car is 59 years old will mean many of the previous owners will have died or moved on so will no longer be contactable. If your car has just had a few previous owners you might be able to trace them back one owner at a time but I am not aware of an institution or website that you can contact for the individual history of a Jaguar Mk2.

If you want to know about the history of the Mk2 Jaguar there are numerous publications you can read and online sites. This is one https://www.aronline.co.uk/cars/jagu...pment-history/
On E Bay there are several books on the History of the Mk2 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-Mk...EAAOSwm7RZmEdf plus books and magazines on road tests and other articles.

Hope this helps.

You may be best served by contacting the clubs in your area. The Club in SF is almost 66 years old and surely that car has been to some events. https://www.jcna.com/affiliate-club-list

or just contact the California DMV in person.
You will be charged for the service and you must have a valid reason to request the ownership history of the car, if that is what you mean by "road history". DMV don't release ownership / registration history just for asking, there are privacy laws they must comply with; In other words, it won't be easy but who knows, you might get lucky.
