Can anyone list a step by step wood removal on the doors of a Mark 1. Getting ready to paint my car and I want a clean slate and no overspray.

 

1. Remove the internal window surrounds. Do this carefully as the clips holding them in can tear out of the wood. These surrounds can fall to pieces so take care and if they start falling apart use some tape to keep the pieces together for eventual re-glueing.
2. Then remove the individual door wood mouldings which are held in place with rear "springy fasteners" by simply lifting them vertically from the door.
