Scale guy out of state at race, no scales yet. RH spring is 14.5" overall length, 5.5" outside diameter, 4" ID. Lower control arm at level with cross member is 9.5"= 5" compression at ride height.
5.5"x9.5 springs are available in any spring weight. I will take the spring to the race shop and get it checked. More later.....

springs removed, safely with no spring compressor, cut to 11.5" and easily re-installed.
lower control arms are level with the weight on them. Scales arrived and will get the numbers on here tonight.
a/c compressor not mounted, rh seat not mounted, no water, no a/c unit and condenser/ fan in trunk, no exhaust and tailpipes only headers.

Default mK2, front lowering?

Okay, I will bite. How did you remove the springs without a spring compressor?

Car up on jack stands with tires removed; removed lower shock bolts(4), floor jack under a arm, remove spring plate bolts(6), lower floor jack and then remove upper shock bolt. Lowering the jack and removing the upper shock bolt is accomplished together.
The front corners were around 800# a 5 1/2 x 11 850# spring will be sourced and installed. When I cut the coils they got softer not firmer. Usually the other way around.

Called Eaton Spring and got a"BOOK" guy, nothing listed for Jaguar? Do you have 5.5"x12" 375# springs? The "BOOK" lists by make....
I have figured a way around my problem with minimal $ and work that will maintain my ride.

Default Solution for lowering Mk2 after engine swap.

My engine swap removed a lot of weight off the front end and it needs at least 3" down to get back to normal height. I am considering cutting coils and dropping the base. Does anyone have the spring stats for stock? PSI, height and circumference? THANKS

My mechanics are almost complete and I am anxious to start the body work
