Default Mk2 Heated rear screen

Dear Mk2ites.
Can anyone help me with photos or a description of the location of the heated rear screen relay?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Kim, It's behind the fascia with the switch and lamp. The relay does not control the actual heated rear screen, it only dims the lamp for night driving, the relay is energized by the side light circuit. Early models did not have a switch or relay, the heated screen came on with the ignition. The switch and lamp were added early 1966.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Jon. I haven’t looked at a wiring diagram yet so didn’t realise the relay was only for the warning light. Will have to fit a relay for the power. You couldn’t be more specific re it’s location could you?
Cheers.
Kim.

Kim, it should be fitted to the inside of the panel just above the switch terminals
