Default Need Key Code for '65 S Type

I just brought home a 1965 S Type VIN 1877872BW. It came with the ignition key which also works the door locks, but not the key for the glove box and trunk. Is there a way of getting the code for that key short of purchasing a Heritage certificate? If not, does the heritage certificate list both keys? If it helps, the ignition key is FS876 and it will slide into the glove box and trunk locks but not turn.

Thanks,

Craig

The Heritage Cert does not contain this information.
All the locks have the FS code stamped into them. On the S Type glove box if you turn the ring around the lock it will unscrew. The lock will push into the hole in the glove box door and you can pull the door down and retrieve the lock. The FS number is stamped into the back of the lock as per the attached photo and as you has said the glove box and boot should be the same FS number.
Once you have the FS number go to this web site https://www.replacementkeys.co.uk/un...hoC4BEQAvD_BwE type in your FS Number pay for as many keys as you want and they will arrive within two days. I have used this company many times and they are superb.

All lock barrels are marked with FS Key codes (Wilmot Breeden) in the case of the S type.

Cass: THANK YOU VERY MUCH! That did the trick. Not only did I get the lock out of the glovebox door, I found a key inside that works both the trunk and glove box.. I usually hang out around the Austin Healey Experience Forum, but I'll probably be haunting this one too, getting the old girl going.

Glad we could help and great that you found the boot key in the glove box. You need to have a couple of spares cut now.
