We jut purchased a 1960 MK2. Got ignition key and glove box/boot key. But no keys for the door locks. We disassemble both front doors and found the number 654 on both L and R barrels.
Upon searching it appears 654 is not a valid FS code to have keys made. So how can we get keys made? Internet searches does not shed any info on that 654 code. Buying 2 new barrels gets expensive.
There is a company in Arizona who can make keys if you have the FS number. But again 654 is not on their list. Also they do not answer their phone.
I seem to remember in the past we re-configured our old Austin Healey 3000. We did find this info in another post. I cannot find a source for the individual profiles which if one could buy them they could match the ignition to the door barrels. Anyone know where to get them?
Thanks

Are you sure it's a FS key? 654 is an FP number. Of course, there is no guarantee that it's the original cylinders in the locks, they might have come out of some other British car.
A lock smith should be able to make the correct key with his tools if you give him the barrel.
On my Bentley that car has Yale locks, but they are the same barrel type pins.
There was no key with the car at all, but one key fits everything, so I made a key from the glove box lock.
I filed the key blank to fit the pins, and at that point the key looked like the top of a castle wall _ I then filed the ramps in and polished it with a buffing wheel.
That worked, but it was time consuming.
You should be able to do the same with a set of jewelers files and a bit of patients.
When slipping the barrel out, be prepared to release the spring tension off the pins carefully so things don't go flying across the room _ don't get the pins mixed up.
Do each pin at a time, when the key is correct and in place, the pins should be even with the top of the barrel.
Need a spare key for your ignition/door/trunk/glovebox/etc? I have most blanks and can cut keys for the following types/series. These are new cut keys, not a duplicate of a worn key. I can also, generally, cut keys from a high-quality picture via email. Barring that, I would need to have the key in hand to measure the cut depths with a gauge to decode it, then cut a new key.
Small Keys: • FA codes 501-625 • FP codes 626-750 • FR codes 751-850 • FS/FK codes 001-099, 876-955 • FT codes 101-225 • FNR codes 01-25 • MRN codes 01-54 • RM/RL codes 801-952 • More
I have a small selection of original Union blanks (FR, NH, FA, etc), though most of the blanks I stock are aftermarket brands. These are bare brass, nickel plated brass, or steel. Brands vary. Small keys are $8 for common head styles, $12-16 for special head styles
Large keys are $16 for all metal. Aftermarket plastic head are $18. I do have some NOS Neiman RV blanks, NOS plastic Leyland head keys, NOS Waso keys, and some aftermarket Leyland head keys. Email for more info, generally ~$25.
Small Union original keys are $25. Romac keys are $20.
Don’t forget shipping cost ($5.50) for a tracked USPS first class padded envelope from 20112.
I can also re-key most lock barrels to fit specific keys, and have a selection of original ignition switch barrels with stamped faces if you’re looking for something specific. Shoot me a PM or email if interested. Jake

Originally, the door keys were the same as the ignition. The boot and glove box were a different key. If the ignition key doesn't work on the doors, either some lock(s) have been replaced (quite likely - door locks broken by thieves or ignition with a faulty contact) or possibly the door locks are stuck. It might be worth pumping some light oil into the door locks. If the door locks are swapped, it could explain why the number isn't in the usual FS series.
