Hi All,
Im new here!
I'm in the process of restoring a 1962 MK 2 3.8 It came to me in lots of bits and I need to know where things go. Could someone be so kind as to send me some photos of their pride and joy Under the bonnet ( especially the wiring. and where the brake pipes should be routed ) Under the wheel arches ( I dont know where the servo expansion tank is supposed to be located ) and anything else that may be useful
Thanks in advance
Ray

Hello Welcome.

If you Google "Mark II Engine Bay"
This will bring up many photos.
Here's one example.

Hi,
in my website, I have the MK-2 Shop Manual you can download free which should help you with illustrations. Copy and paste the following address in your browser:

Thanks, but that is exactly how mine looks now, It would be good to see everything back in place before the engine goes back in! I've googled engine bays but none are close up to see which wire goes where etc and there are none showing where the vacuum tank goes

This is the 1959 3.8 Auto under the bonnet. If you need anything specific let me know. I don't have any photos of the vacuum tank under the wing but its under the drivers side (RHD) and bolts to the front crossmember and sticks up behind the lights.

I don't know if these will help but they are photos of my 1968 S TYpe engine bay just prior to dropping the engine in so it shows where all the bits are and where I ran the brake pipes and wiring loom. All the routing was based on photos I took during my strip down but they might be different to the Mk2 set up.

The Mk2 wiring harness has different routing to S Type. e.g. runs across in front of the top tank of the radiator.
