Default Oil Pressure Testing

Hello all. Where is the most easily accessible point to mount an oil pressure tester to a 3.8L motor please (RHD if that makes any difference)
Cheers

Is the item circled in red the oil pressure sender unit?

Nope, that looks to be a pressure relief valve. The oil pressure transmitter is an electrical device that screws into the oil filter housing. It may, of course, screw into the top of that pressure valve, but I can't remember, sorry. SNG Barratt list them, but don't show location.

I would remove the electrical oil pressure sender and screw the gauge in there.

If you look on the pictures on this e-bay listing its the small round device on the top of the oil filter hosing with the electrical connections on it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Original-...4383.l4275.c10

I have this in my jag, it's mechanical bourbon tube gauge that is way more reliable and accurate then the electric one.
Just change out the silver bezel for the black one from the Jag.

The only effort in installing it is a physical line had to be run from the area where Glyn points out right to the gauge.
I used a copper line on mine up to the fire wall and then a flexible line to the dash with compression fittings.

Always reliable and shows actual oil pressure.

You could get a used one for a lot less.
