Default Original colour code

Mk 2, 3.4L 1964. Do anybody know where I can find the original colour code no?
On the ID plate I find a body no but nothing regarding the colour. The colour is a light blue metallic. It was repainted in mid 70-ties but the colour is a little bit darker than the original I found in the doorframes. In advance, thank you.

You will not find a body color code on the car as they did not provide one. There were not that many color options in that period and unless it was a "special" color you should be able to match up what you found to the offerings. You can obtain a Heritage Certificate which will tell you the orig. color but they are often in simple form and state blue or green but perhaps not always which blue or green.

It may be silver blue metallic, but see if this is of any help https://www.terrysjag.com/Jaguar_Paint_Codes.html
You can do a google search, once you are sure if your car had a standard color, go to your paint shop with as much info as possible and they should be able to match it up.

My 3.8s was sky blue metallic and the color grew on me. Instead of changing the color I painted most of the car with the same color but used more modern paint. I think back in the 60's the color was just one paint with the flake, etc. all mixed together. The one thing I did not like was the factory flake was too large and did not look that clean and nice. I painted it with more modern two stage paint where the flake is smaller in size and gives it a nicer look. Over that was the clear and while it is the same color the look to me is nicer.
