The more exotic colours appeared more often on E-types. I think I've seen one in the horrible Heather. My wife saw a pink E-type in Como driven by a well known Italian female singer (so famous that I can't remember the singer's name).

I finally have the new foam from John Skinner so now I can start.
I have some new burlap and I was wondering if you use any additional batting when reupholstering?

Did you replace the horse hair on the backrests?

Just remember in the 1950s and 1960s that you could order your new Jaguar in any special colour for both the paint and interior.
You were not stuck with the standard body colours and upholstery combinations.
I have no idea how much these "specials" cost.

MK-1, MK-2, S type, 420, MK-X, and 420-G seats had no Headrests.

Maybe the E-type did, and the Series 1 XJ did from 1968.

Anyone know what the closest (RAL) colour is for the seat frames? Looks like RAL 1015/1013 is close.
