Wow Aron, you have allot of work ahead of you ! I hope you got this at a good price given the amount of metal that has to be replaced. Just looking at your photos it almost would have been worth it to find a better example to restore, but at least when it's all done you'll know the work was done correctly and that all the rot has been looked after.
I take my hat off to you !

Great work and I know exactly what you are going through as I have been there, done it, nearly got the tee shirt and still welding. My 340 was in a similar state but the satisfaction you will get when it is complete and know you have a special car will be worth it.
Keep updating and be patient

Hi Barry
Sorry its taken a while for me to reply to your message and i hope your restoration is going well. In answer to your question i am not sure but i will try and get back to you with some information. I do know that the interior type is not stamped on the vehicle information plate and it will also depend on whether your vehicle is of the MK2 2.4 / 3.4 or the 240 / 340 range. I have put some photos up of my interior before i removed it.
Cheers Aron

thanks for the pics of the interior, nice scheme. Seeing your metal working pics takes me back to the hours I spent on mine , you forget after a while what youve been through.
You tend to concentrate on the tasks that you are currently undertaking. Mines trim at the moment. ( hence my interest in interiors) Taking my mk2 for its first MOT for 35 yrs( As far as I know) next Tuesday!!
Seats fitted for MOT with old 2 point belts. We'll see on tuesday!!
