A Real Hole
Hello you Mk2 Jag minded people.
What is the consensus of opinion on aerial holes please?
I’m at the point where l could fill it in before a respray but being old school I’ve always been happy it being there. Any thoughts either way would be appreciated.
Thanking you in anticipation
Ron

I like listening to a good sounding engine. I've never used a radio in my Mk2 or XK. I listen to the radio in my Daimler because I can't hear the engine. I also use the radio in the X type - its engine is a 2.2 Diesel adopted from a van.

I debated on what to do with the hole for the fender mounted aerial and ended up leaving it. My car had one of those hand-cranked Radiomobile antennas which I think is a nice period accessory. Unfortunately, mine is in pretty sad shape and seized up. If I can't find a decent one I will instal something that looks period, even if I don't have a radio (which I currently do not have). Some day I will find one.
