Default S-type/340 Manual Choke Switch for Canada

I discovered on examining the Parts Manuals that in the final few years of 340 and S-type production, cars exported to Canada were fitted with a manual choke switch on the dash, using the C2744 (heated rear window) switch, with a 'Choke' escutcheon and warning light. This gave manual control over the choke solenoid that was operated automatically by the Otter switch in other markets. A manual override like this was a common modification in period in the UK and probably other markets, but that was usually by a toggle switch hidden under the dash somewhere.

Does anyone have a photo of how/where this switch was installed on Canadian 340s/S-types, please?

Thanks very much in anticipation.

I can't answer your question, but that's interesting that it was a factory modification on export models to Canada.
I always thought it was simply done because of the finicky operation of the Otter switch.

Also; George Camp in another post mentioned to me that there were no 340's meant for export in to Canada and that the left hand driver models were brought by owners (or dealers ?) form other countries that have left hand drive.
Those cars made it here from owners moving to Canada and they brought there cars with them.
