Default S Type project car - needs to go to a new home

An acquaintance of mine is moving to a care home and his son-in-law in clearing up the house to be able to sell it. In the garage is a 1967 S Type that he had driven for many years and was planning to repair and get back on the road, but never did. The garage is falling down around it, and the car needs to go now before the garage is demolished and the house sold. The son-in-law has asked me if I know of anyone who would want the car, thus posting here. I don't know the price, but I suspect not much. The family would like to see it go to a good home, rather than be crushed.

The history as best I know is that it was driven until the 1980's sometime when a fuel tank rusted and the tank was pulled. Repro tanks were not available then and the car sat in the garage to be repaired "someday". Life goes on and the car has sat ever since. I did a cursory inspection and the body seems reasonably sound, certainly not as much rust as I though there might be. The car is complete and original, with the possible exception of a missing fuel tank.

Car is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and I think the family needs it gone by mid-summer. If there is interest, PM me here and I can put you in touch with the son-in-law.

A sad story. I hope someone buys the car and gives it a new life.

Shame I have spare fuel tanks but based in the UK and Calgary is a long way away. Only 4327 miles as the crow flies.

Maybe take the car and reunite it your fuel tank in Devon? I don't think ocean freight is that expensive.

Nah it is a lefty so no good for the UK. Would love to have someone buy it and get it back on the road although it would also make a great parts car. Too good for that though surely.
