Steering column bushings

Steering column bushings

I am about to remove the steering column to fix the horn. I have a new set of felt bushings. Should I go for the plastic bushings rather than the felt ones?
Looks like C23592/93 are the replacement parts?

I used the vinyl bushes. They do squeal a tiny bit but are superior to the "horsehair" ones since they don't flatten out. I think Glyn applied some grease and it cured the squealing.

Job done. I was surprised how easy it was. Used the new bushings and installed the horn repair kit. All working now. Since I have the steering column out I am now going to replace all the wood.
