Default Thoughts on this one for sale

Looking at Jaguars on CL Denver, found this one:
JAGUAR

I am intrigued... thoughts on the value? If I had a decent garage I might consider it.

would love to see pics of the engine and interior. Body seems to be in good shape but would also be concerned with rust in the undercarriage. not sure on the price though.

Weeb,

Or best offer. Maybe 3000 or 3500? The car looks complete. The body looks pretty good, too. The one I'm working on looked a little better, but not much and little by little it's coming back.

See the 1961 MK2 3.8 Sedan Project blog. The sedan might be worth 30k if well restored. You could spend that getting there, plus your labor if you're careful. Bear in mind that the little cars with the same engine and less body and less upholstery command 130k when well restored.

I just got my son's running and took it for a hiccupy drive in the hood. Have not touched the carburetors yet. You'd have to do most of what I've done, mostly cleaning up, to get a car that's been sitting a long time operating again.

You're looking at a 90s era XK made up to about 2005 when the aluminium XK replaced it. Quote a lot of the car is based on the XJS to save development costs, but engine/transmission is the V8 as used in the X308 series of XJ saloons.

+1 on the concern over the rust. Bet thing is to drive car. So many other factors to consider such as trans/shifting, suspension, electricals (what doesn't work?). If you are happy with what you see then start at $2500 to $2800 and go from there. I'd think $3500 is the cutoff point. If its too rusty, think twice.
