tricky tricity
Hi,
I am in the process of attaching an alternator /ps pump assembly to a 3.4S.The alternator is rated at 80 amps, which may be too much for the wiring.I propose to use a 30-40 amp auto reset circuit breaker to prevent power surge to wiring. If the battery is fully charged at all times the circuit breaker should not trip.
Any suggestions ,anyone?

I would consult with Retro Air / Mr. Jaguar who sells the alternator you are considering.
Jaguar Mark II, IX, 3.4, 3.8 S, Power Steering Alternator for OE Pump

Thanks Jose,The alternator assy is o.k.,I have made one.I am interested in hooking up the alternator with 80 amps to the existing wiring without smoking it.I realise the alt will only put out what's required, but I want to limit the output to 30-40 amps.
